About Mrs. Pasley

Willow Brook First Graders receive music instruction twice each week for two 40-minute class periods.
Mrs. Pasley teaches 1NS - Ms. Soaib's class and 1W - Mrs. Wildhaber's class. Ms. Shannon Moyle teaches
Mr. Cheatham's class and Mrs. Kotets' class.

  • 1K - Mrs. Kotets' class - Monday and Thursday

PROGRESS REPORTS are prepared three times each year and distributed with report cards from other areas of study.

Prof Proficient -Student can consistently achieve the standards listed in this area.
Dev Developing -Student is making continued progress and is showing understanding in this area

For First Grade Students, Pattonville Music Teachers have identified the following areas of instruction.

  CURRICULAR AREAS OF FOCUS
  RHYTHM/METER Identify and perform quarter note, quarter rest, and two eight notes
Demonstrate understanding of steady beat through movement
MELODY Sing fluently between sol and mi
HARMONY & TEXTURE Sing in unison
EXPRESSIVE QUALITIES Identify and define tempo as the speed of the beat
FORM Sing in call and response form
Identify the introduction to a piece of music
HISTORY / CULTURE Experience play-party games
TONE COLOR Distinguish between various classroom non-pitched percussion instruments.
